Paper IELTS Test Day Info
- Identification: Present your valid passport, Canadian PR card, or refugee document. Without one, you will not be allowed to write the test. The test day staff will capture your photo for your Test Report Form.
- Belongings: Check your personal belongings in our secure setting. You can only bring your ID document and water in a transparent bottle. These items are prohibited: mobile phones, electronic devices, watches, hats, wallets, bags, keys, personal stationery, etc. Please note that Precise Solutions is not responsible for lost items.
- Start Time: The test starts promptly at 9:00am. The Listening, Reading, and Writing sections take approximately three hours without any breaks.
- Use of Pen Policy: Starting May 1, 2025, you must only use a black pen to write your answers. The test centre will provide this to you. Personal stationery is prohibited.
- Speaking Test: The speaking test date/location may or may not be the same as your written test and can be conducted within 7 days before or after the written test. You will receive an email with your test details up to 3 days before your test. You must check your inbox, spam, and categories regularly and email us if you have not received your speaking test details. If you miss your speaking test, you will forfeit your IELTS test entirely and will not receive a Test Report Form.

You will receive a test day confirmation email with your written and speaking test details a few days before the test date. So, make sure to check your inbox, spam, and categories regularly, and email us if you do not receive those details by then.
Items Allowed in the Test Room
You are only permitted to bring your ID and water in a clear container.
Items Not Allowed in the Test Room
You are not permitted to bring personal stationery, purses, bags, wallets, money, phones, watches, books, recording devices, food, or other items into the test room. All these items will be checked in a secure location.
